William Aaron, Chief of Consulting Services & Innovation
William Aaron serves as the Chief of Consulting Services and Innovation for Weidner, Inc., which for more than a decade has been one of the nation’s leading firms in helping local, state and federal government entities implement Managing for Results. William oversees all delivery of services to customers as an engagement partner to provide strategic and operational consultation directly to customers.
Prior to joining Weidner, William worked for more than seven years for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, Tennessee, leading that government’s planning and performance management work as well as managing much of the operating budget process. He helped take Metro Nashville from having no strategic planning to full implementation of planning, performance budgeting, and performance reporting, earning national awards for the city in the process. While with Metro Nashville he also facilitated the implementation of performance audit findings that led to consolidation of Metro’s fleet and E-911 operations.
He had previously been with PhyCor, Inc., implementing performance measurement, knowledge management and several “skunkworks” initiatives across a nationwide network of more than 3,000 physicians in 60 multispecialty clinics. He also worked for seven years in the not-for-profit and public sectors, creating and launching an array of national and regional award-winning initiatives.
A recognized author, speaker and trainer, William received his MBA with high honors from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. He is an active community volunteer, having served on the boards of more than one dozen community organizations.
